Pugs In Perth is a non-profit social group for pugs, pug crosses, pug parents and even pug-less people!
Pugs In Perth’s objectives are:
- Promote responsible dog ownership
- Promote interest in the breed
- Under no circumstances is backyard breeding encouraged
- Only ever buy puppies (and any other animal) from a registered and reputable breeder, rescue organisation or animal shelter.
Pugs In Perth supports the 5 Freedoms for Animals:
- Freedom from hunger and thirst: by ready access to fresh water and a diet to maintain full health and vigour.
- Freedom from discomfort: by providing an appropriate environment including shelter and a comfortable resting area.
- Freedom from pain, injury or disease: by preventing through rapid diagnosis and treatment.
- Freedom to express normal behaviour: by providing sufficient space, proper facilities and company of the animal’s own kind.
- Freedom from fear and distress: by ensuring conditions and treatment which avoid mental suffering.
